The Power Of Intention

Intention is defined as “what one purposes or accomplishes to do.” Intention is how you define your days and design your life. It is through your intentions that you reach your goals. Prayer, thought and deed are ways we can accomplish positive intention. So why is it that most people do not realize the power behind such purpose?

What we “intend” to say and “intend” to do has a direct result on our present and future. If one wants to create a better life for oneself, then one needs to have clear and positive intentions. More importantly, one must focus on those intentions every single day. There are several ways one can do that.

First set your Intentions down on a piece of paper. No need to make them complicated; one word or sentence will do. Next, take out special time in the morning, evening or both, and focus on what you have written on a daily basis. As you find yourself accomplishing your intentions, you can replace them with new ones. Sounds easy, doesn't it? But in the realistic sense it is the most difficult thing for most people to do.

Usually, the pattern is that one forgets to take that time out daily or they do so, only to fall prey to sending out negative intentions in the other areas of their lives. Negative intentions will only hold you back and you may not realize you are even doing them.

Cursing is a form of negative intention. So are those thoughts you might have that criticize a person, place, or thing. Name-calling, anger or rage, hate and even impatience, are also forms of negative intention that need to be dealt with if you are to have true Power to create the life you truly want.

A way to contain Positive power is to keep a journal so that you can see your life as the work-in-progress that it is, and thus is able to better chart your results. In this way you will be shaping, through positive energy, a life that will be fulfilling and abundant in its blessings. The more you practice the Power of Intention, the better you will feel about your life's purpose.
