I have been writing since I was 8 years old.  I kept a diary and wrote stories. At 12, my parents bought me my first typewriter, a Brother manual that came in a nifty black case.  They said writing would be a way to share good things.  I would share my writing with them. Today, I type on a computer or tablet, and I am still sharing, only now with an audience of more than two.
